A successful veteran of many years in the trenches, Karl's earned his stripes early under outstanding teachers and mentors at Yale (BA History), Kellogg (MBA), and London School of Economics (Graduate Degree in Economics). Work at Pepsico and Pizza Hut provided him an opportunity to work with other major brands such as Visa, American Express, Lucas Films, Anheuser Busch, Dr. Pepper, and PlayStation. Since then, he has built online and offline businesses as varied as Floyd's 99 Barbershops and the first major social media platform (Kickstart.com). He has also consulted with UCHealth and worked closely with all the major record labels.

He is also a nationally-awarded editorial cartoonist, illustrator, and designer, and is active in the community as a youth coach and leader in programs around education and development for at-risk children.
